  • We partner with brands who share our values and exercise sustainable agriculture, animal welfare, production and packaging practices.

  • All Cerf Club Provisions packaging is either reusable, recyclable or compostable.

  • We encourage our pickup customers to bring their own bags or boxes to retrieve their orders and are pleased to offer a way for you to do this safely.

Zero Foodprint

Spearheaded by a collective of thought-leading chefs and farmers, and supported by California EPA, California Air Resource Board and California Food & Agriculture, ZFP invests in climate beneficial farming practices to offset greenhouse gas emissions. black lives matter

Updated June 4, 2020

We at Stag Dining Group unequivocally support the Black Lives Matter protests, taking place at San Francisco City Hall just down the street from our headquarters as well as elsewhere in our region and across the nation. These protests began in response to the recent deaths of George Floyd, Tony McDade, Ahmaud Abery and Breonna Taylor but are fueled by centuries of systemic and direct hostility and violence against Black people in America.

Our team has taken these events to heart with much sorrow, anger and contemplation. The impact of these tragedies has burst the dam of a long overdue national conversation about bringing to justice our nation’s original sin: slavery and the legacy of racism and its impact on the fabric of our society.

Over the past week, we have taken time to reflect on our own roles, privilege and blindspots. Throughout our company history we have proudly supported Black-owned hospitality and entertainment businesses and forged relationships within the Black community. These relationships are important to us and reflect our organizational values regarding social sustainability. But it is clearly not enough. We know there is more than we can do.

At a time when the events and hospitality industry is already upending former business models and standard practices in the face of COVID-19, we see an opportunity here to make significant, lasting changes to the way we do business, leveraging our platform to work toward a more equitable future. Stag Dining Group is formally committing to an ongoing process of reflection and improvement. Some of the first steps we are taking are:

  • Reading and reflecting on anti-racist literature, addressing both what we can do as individuals and as organizational leaders.

  • Reaching out to community stakeholders, friends and Black-owned companies we have historic relationships with and offering an ear, shoulder or hand in how we can work together.

  • Reviewing our current suppliers and other partners to see what opportunities we have to promote existing or new Black partners, and divesting from business relationships that do not reflect our values.

  • Evaluating and adapting our current product offerings and outreach strategies to better serve the residents of the neighborhood in which we are located.

These actions are just the beginning. It saddens us that the current health crisis has severely limited how we can interact, engage and support the public conversation as a hospitality business at this time. But our efforts will be ongoing, and as our business recovers from the impacts of COVID-19, we know we will have more opportunity to contribute and affect greater change, including offering our venue and our expertise as resources to Black hospitality partners, artists and nonprofits, and examining our recruitment efforts in order to build a team that reflects the diversity of our country and aspires to the diversity we wish to see in our industry.

As we continue this process, we invite input and feedback from members of our community: we want to hear from you if you have ideas about how we can help during this time and continue to hold ourselves accountable to our commitments.

In solidarity,

The Stag Dining Group leadership team
