Cerf Club invites you to join us for a one-night only collaboration with JAYU, an Asian-inspired pop up that pays homage to chefs James Lok and Yutaro Tachibe’s Chinese and Japanese heritage.
JAYU is a California-bred concept born from Lok and Tachibe’s cultural traditions, supported by the culinary techniques they learned in top-tier kitchens including Benu, Monsieur Benjamin, In Situ, The Restaurant at Meadowood, Jardinière, and Melisse. A hybrid of the two chefs’ names, JAYU’s pronunciation is inspired by a Chinese saying (ga yao in Cantonese, jiayou in Mandarin) which translates to “add oil,” a phrase that Chinese speakers use to incite encouragement ala “Go for it.”
At this one-night-only pop up, you’ll enjoy a family-style feast of 7 dishes (see menu below). Your $60 ticket buys the entire menu (gratuity, taxes, and fees are added at time of purchase). Beverages include sake, beer, and wine, which will be available a la carte.
Hosted at Stag Dining’s Cerf Club event venue, JAYU will be a casual, upbeat party featuring great food and drink, Motown music and good times.
